Cooking Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Rice
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a pot, combine the rinsed rice, water (or broth), olive oil, and salt. Bring to a boil.

Step 2: Cook the Beef and Spinach
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5-7 minutes).
- Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar; cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add fresh spinach; cook until wilted (about 2 minutes). Remove from heat.
Step 3: Make the Jalapeno Salsa
- In a bowl, combine chopped jalapeno, diced tomato, red onion, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Step 4: Assemble the Bowls
- Fluff the cooked rice with a fork.
- In serving bowls, layer rice at the bottom, followed by the caramelised beef and spinach mixture.
