Hey, foodies! 👋 Let me tell you about my absolute favorite weeknight dinner—Ground Turkey Stir Fry! 🍳🔥 I make this at least twice a week because it’s quick, packed with flavor, and so dang easy. Plus, that umami-rich garlic-ginger sauce? Chef’s kiss 🤌 Best part? Ready in under 30 minutes—perfect for those nights when you’re hangry and need food NOW. Let’s get into it!

Ingredients

  • 🛒 Grocery List (Serves 4)
  • Protein & Veggies
  • 1 lb ground turkey (or chicken/beef)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned or sliced thin
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
  • Sauce Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional but so good)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (or more soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • Extras
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • Green onions & sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

    1️⃣ Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix:

  • Soy sauce, hoisin, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

2️⃣ Cook the Turkey

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground turkey, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until no pink remains (~5 mins).
  • Remove turkey and set aside.

3️⃣ Stir Fry the Veggies

  • In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil.
  • Toss in onion, garlic, ginger—sauté for 30 secs until fragrant.
  • Add bell pepper, broccoli, carrots. Stir fry for 4-5 mins until crisp-tender.

4️⃣ Bring It All Together

  • Return turkey to the pan.
  • Pour in the sauce, stir well, and cook for 2 more mins until everything is coated and glossy.

5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!

  • Garnish with green onions & sesame seeds.
  • Serve over steamed rice, quinoa, or noodles.
