Spicy Garlic Shrimp
A quick and easy dish that’s packed with flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
- Pat shrimp dry: Using paper towels, pat the shrimp dry to remove excess moisture. This will help them cook evenly.
- Heat oil: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.
- Sauté garlic: Add the minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
- Add shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
- Season and serve: Toss the shrimp with the red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Tips:
- Adjust heat: If you prefer a milder dish, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes.
- Add a touch of sweetness: For a balanced flavor, add a teaspoon of honey or a splash of white wine to the skillet.
- Serve with: Enjoy this dish with rice, pasta, or a salad.
- Make ahead: Cook the shrimp and store in the refrigerator. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat.
Enjoy your spicy garlic shrimp!
